Made In-House

The Studio Behind Silk & Lace

We started this collection because we kept falling for pieces we couldn't find anywhere else. A waistcoat with just the right amount of velvet floral. Jeans with embroidery that actually held up after a wash. So we started making our own. Every piece here is our own pattern, cut in small runs instead of the huge batches most brands rely on, which means less leftover inventory sitting in a warehouse and less fabric wasted at the cutting table.

That small-batch approach shows up in the details. The Rosalind waistcoat and its floral jacquard weave, the wide-leg linen pants with a smocked waist that actually fits without a belt, the patriotic shortalls we honestly weren't sure would sell and then couldn't keep in stock. These came from us wearing our own samples and adjusting what didn't work. If a seam pattern felt off or a fabric didn't move right, we changed it before it ever went into production.

Because these are made in limited runs, sizes and colors don't always restock the way they do in our other collections. If something here catches your eye, it's worth ordering sooner rather than circling back later. A lot of our Originals sell out and don't come back in the same print. We're not trying to manufacture urgency; it's genuinely how small-batch production works. Everything currently listed is already made and ready to ship, no preorders and no waiting on a production run.

Think of this as the part of the closet that's actually us: the aesthetic references, the fabric choices, small details like a scalloped edge or an unexpected stripe insert, all coming from our own design table instead of a catalog. It's slower, it's more work, and it's the collection we're proudest of.
