We didn't set out to build a huge ponchos and shawls collection. It started with the striped fringe poncho, which sold out twice in one season, and grew from there. What ties this category together is the same idea: one piece, thrown over whatever you're already wearing, that does more work than a jacket without needing to match anything underneath.
Fabric matters more here than in almost any other category we sell. Most of what's in this collection is acrylic knit, which holds its shape and fringe detail well and is a lot easier to care for than wool. You can machine wash most of these on a gentle cycle instead of dry cleaning. The wool-blend ruana wrap is the exception, and we say so directly on that product page, because it's a heavier, warmer piece meant for genuinely cold days rather than a light layer.
Fringe trim is the throughline across most of these: the hooded poncho, the houndstooth wrap, the asymmetrical cowl-neck piece. But the silhouettes vary more than you'd expect. Some are boxy and cropped, meant to sit at the hip. Others, like the ruana, hang longer and work almost like a cape. If you're not sure which shape suits you, the product photos show each piece on a model at full length, which tends to be more useful than the flat-lay shot for this category specifically.
These aren't pieces we expect you to wear every day, and that's kind of the point. A poncho you save for the right cold, gray afternoon ends up meaning more than one you've worn into the ground. We keep this collection smaller than some of our others on purpose, restocking the pieces that actually earn repeat requests instead of chasing every fringe trend that comes through.
